Cinta-news.com – Persatuan Guru Republik Indonesia (PGRI) Kabupaten Trenggalek, Jawa Timur, secara tegas menolak praktik guru sebagai pencicip menu Program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG). Ketua PGRI Trenggalek, Catur Winarno, menyampaikan penolakan ini pada Selasa (14/10/2025). Meski mengapresiasi program MBG, PGRI tidak setuju dengan tugas tambahan ini. Mereka mendesak tim gizi dan medis MBG untuk dioptimalkan fungsinya.
Catur Winarno menegaskan penolakan tersebut. “Kami tidak setuju guru harus mencicipi makanan siswa. Unsur-unsur di MBG seperti tim gizi dan medis harus difungsikan optimal,” ujarnya. Menurutnya, dengan mengoptimalkan tim tersebut, risiko makanan basi atau keracunan bisa diminimalisir.
Catur mengakui setiap sekolah memang memiliki guru koordinator MBG. Namun, tugasnya tidak termasuk mencicipi makanan. “Tugas guru koordinator hanya mengkoordinir perwakilan siswa untuk mendistribusikan menu MBG,” jelasnya. Penegasan ini penting agar fokus guru tetap pada tugas utama sebagai pendidik.
Sebagai mantan Kepala Sekolah SMPN 1 Trenggalek, Catur melihat tim penyedia MBG masih dalam tahap belajar. “Semua pihak masih mencari ritme terbaik. Kami mendorong evaluasi terus menerus untuk peningkatan layanan,” tambahnya.
Beberapa keluhan juga diterima Catur. Salah satunya tentang waktu kedatangan menu yang terlalu mepet. “Setelah kami beri masukan, pihak MBG mau datang lebih awal agar tidak mengganggu pembelajaran,” ungkapnya.
Koordinasi antara sekolah dan tim SPPG terus berjalan. Hal ini untuk memastikan waktu makan siang tidak mengganggu proses belajar. Kolaborasi ini akan meningkatkan kualitas layanan MBG ke depannya.
